Fukushima Radiation Found in Grocery Store Seafood

In the wake of the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) stopped testing imported foods for radiation in 2012.

“The first radioactive ocean plume released by the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster will finally be reaching the shores of the United States some time in 2014, according to a new study from the University of New South Wales — a full three or so years after the date of the disaster.”

If anybody ever tells you that we know with one hundred percent certainty that GMOs are totally safe to eat, they haven’t done their research. There is no reason GM foods should be approved safe for consumption, we just don’t know enough about them. We could easily feed the planet through organic, GMO free methods, there is absolutely no reason we need GM foods around.

Study: The ‘Gateway Drug’ Is Alcohol

This study is great to help lift the stigma that’s often associated with marijuana. It makes absolutely no sense that alcohol and smoking cigarettes is legal, with extremely devastating health effects, while marijuana remains illegal with no demonstrated lethal health effects. In fact, scientists have discovered that cannabis may reduce brain damage caused by alcohol.
